Mark Yusko, founder and CEO of Morgan Creek Capital, believes Ethereum (ETH) has the potential to rise to five-digit prices.
In a new interview with Altcoin Daily, Yusko said that based on the Ethereum to Bitcoin ratio (ETH/BTC), in a scenario where Bitcoin eventually reaches the $150,000 level, ETH would be worth 410% from current levels. He said there was a possibility of an increase.
“I probably see no reason to go against the long-standing ratio of Bitcoin to Ethereum. It used to be almost exactly 10 to 1. So if Bitcoin is $20,000, Ethereum is worth $20,000. would be $2,000…
So let’s say Bitcoin reaches $150,000, as I expect. And let’s say it never goes back. [a Bitcoin-to-Ethereum ratio of] Let’s say it’s 10 to 1, but then… 1.5.That’s why [an Ethereum price of] $10,000.
I’m sure many people still have numbers like that in their minds. And many people say, “That’s not enough.”
Let’s say it’s back up to 10-1.Then it is [an Ethereum price of] $15,000. So somewhere between $10,000 and $15,000 would be reasonable. ”
At the time of writing, Ethereum is trading at $2,921.
Here’s what the hedge fund veteran has to say about Ethereum’s expected price performance compared to Bitcoin (BTC):
“We may see a bigger rally in Ethereum than in Bitcoin. And that’s the kind of thing you would expect with the pump part, the meteoric parabolic move at the end. Ethereum has historically outperformed Bitcoin. and probably will again.”
At the time of writing, Bitcoin is trading at $51,904.
