When it comes to social media, I’ve noticed that there are two types of people: those who like sharing content and those who don’t. Naturally, I’m in the category of people who don’t like posting. However, since social media is basically free and a powerful tool that can increase your revenue, he has developed three habits that may help.

1. Create a reasonable social media schedule
Three years ago, I wasn’t posting much on social media. Reasons for not posting were often related to laziness and anxiety. I overcame both laziness and personal insecurities and am now posting regularly. I’ve gotten to the point where I can honestly say that posting regularly has helped my business.
I overcame laziness by creating a social media schedule that made sense for me. My schedule included posting twice a month on LinkedIn and twice a month on Instagram or Facebook. I’m sure there are a lot of people out there who say I need to post more. However, posting too much can make your person or brand redundant. I also like to post as much variety as possible.
For example, you rarely post the exact same post on multiple platforms. If you post the same topic on multiple platforms, change the text and swap the images. Typically, I try to take different photos for my posts, with the aim of using different images on different platforms.

2. Stick to routines and specialties.
I created a tracking sheet during my first year of posting on social media. This helped me stay on task and create a routine. Every time you post, update your tracking sheet with a checkmark. And at the end of the month, I made sure I had four checkmarks for the month. For the past three years, I’ve been able to stick to a social media schedule.
For the past two years, I have been able to continue posting without being tracked. My posting has now become a habit. I’m a big fan of posting on social media without having to keep track of it.

3. Create a list of topics to post on
The next question for people who are having trouble posting is what to post about? I usually post about events, new business, business accomplishments, and article submissions.
I have made a personal promise to always post about events I attend. When you attend an event, a lot goes into it, including time and participation fees. Not posting about your event is a wasted opportunity. I usually post before the event and post after the event.
New businesses are great to post because they show the world that you are expanding and working on new ventures. If you are in the service industry, like I am in my role as a commercial real estate broker, you can post to a new assignment. Or if you own a restaurant and are just starting a new business to accommodate an important event, posting is the perfect choice. Remember, the more personal you make your posts, the better they will be received.

Posting business results shows current and new clients that you are proactive and successful. Originally, these posts were a problem for me because I consider myself a humble person and was worried that it would seem like I was bragging. I’ve come to the conclusion that I don’t care what other people think or don’t think. I now believe that if your successes are posted in a realistic way, others will also be happy with your achievements.
You can submit articles that you have written or that you find interesting. When sharing an article you’ve written, it’s a good idea to include additional information not included in the post. If you’re posting an article that you didn’t write, we recommend that you include your thoughts about the article and why you want to share it in your post.
Once you develop strong social media habits, it’s easier to maintain them. We recommend that you maintain it yourself. We know that artificial intelligence can help, whether it’s bots that like other posts on your behalf or AI that generates content for you. Stay authentic and create your own social media. My opinion is that quality is more important than quantity on social media, even if you post less because your time is limited.
