Swiggy experienced leadership changes ahead of IPO, with key employees relinquishing their roles.
According to recent reports, Sidharth Satpathy, vice president of Swiggy Instamart, recently resigned from his post, spurring a notable departure from the food delivery company’s leadership. The role of Satpathy, who has been contributing to Swiggy for over four years, will be taken over by Anirban Roy, who previously served as Head of Performance Marketing at Amazon India.
Sidharth Satpathy announced on LinkedIn, “As I begin my next role, Anirban Roy will be taking over my role at Instamart starting this week. I will be returning to the CPG industry starting Monday.”
In the last eight months, Swiggy has seen several high-profile departures including Dale Vaz, Kartik Gurumurthy, Ashish Lingamneni, Nishad Kenkre and Anuj Rati. According to media sources, Mr. Gurumurthy plans to start his own venture named Convenio, while Mr. Vaz left the company to set up wealthy technology company Arritya Tech.
Satpathy has a professional career spanning four and a half years with a Bangalore-based food and grocery delivery company. During this period, he held a leadership role overseeing categories, monetization and private label business at his Swiggy Instamart, which he held for over two years, as shown on his LinkedIn profile.
Previously, Satpathy served as Assistant Vice President and led the national and strategic partnerships for Swiggy’s food delivery division. His extensive experience in the FMCG sector includes positions at Marico Ltd, Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages, and Johnson and Johnson.
