A large tire-related fire at a Beloit store Friday morning led to the evacuation of some homes and an advisory for people in the area to wear masks, authorities reported.
City of Beloit spokeswoman Sarah Locke said in a statement that the fire, which was first reported as smoke in the area at 12:45 a.m. Friday, started at a store in the area of Yates Street and Copeland Avenue. Ta.
