Los Angeles will remain the host city for the international soccer tournament, despite months of resistance and threats to pull out of the World Cup altogether, according to reports.
LA was selected as the host city for the 2026 World Cup last June, and SoFi Stadium was chosen as the stadium to host the match.
But Stan Kroenke, the owner of Inglewood’s premier stadium, refused to adjust the playing area to fit a soccer field, which uses a larger area than a soccer field.
