Royal Princess Anne has become an unexpected source of inspiration for Italian fashion house Fendi.

Designer Silvia Venturini Fendi said her choice came after seeing the princess wearing a Blues & Royals velvet cloak and feathered hat at her coronation.

“When I saw Princess Anne’s coronation in her uniform last year, I thought she was beautiful.

The house’s Fall/Winter 2024-2025 collection is titled “Town and Country,” and it depicts the wet winter weather of manors in the wild, such as Balmoral, Scotland, where Anne’s mother, Queen Elizabeth, died in 2022 at the age of 96. It refers to traditional royal attire.
The collection includes oversized Barbour-style hoodies, leather boots, Southwester rain hats, generously sized dark green sweaters, tartan skirts, skorts and kilts.
Anne is famous for changing her clothes for public events, and her blue coat has appeared at the royal Christmas morning service at Sandringham since 1976.
She wore her trademark Adidas sunglasses during a trip to Sri Lanka last week. The sunglasses were a gift from the British cycling team at the 2012 London Olympics, who are rumored to have inspired Stella McCartney’s design.
