Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry in Naperville was one of 19 new Endeavor Health Community Investment Fund grant recipients announced Monday. The agency will receive $297,000 this year to combat food insecurity in the region.

Nineteen nonprofit agencies and advocacy organizations are the latest recipients of Endeavor Health’s annual Community Investment Grant Program.
The grant program began in 2022 following the merger of Edward Elmhurst Health and North Shore University Health. The health system rebranded as Endeavor Health earlier this year.
The grant is designed to provide funding to agencies to reduce health care access, reduce homelessness, and combat food insecurity in the communities Endeavor’s nine hospitals serve.
Since its inception, the grant program has awarded more than $21.4 million to various institutions in the Chicago area, Endeavor officials said.
Many grants are for multi-year projects. That’s why 43 organizations will split more than $10.2 million from Endeavor Health’s Community Investment Fund this year alone, officials announced Monday.
This year’s new recipients include Naperville-based 360 Youth Services, Alive Center serving Naperville and Aurora, Elmhurst-Yorkfield Food Pantry, Equal Hope of Lake County, and Warrenville. Little Friends of Naperville, Loaves and Fish Community Services of Naperville, Haymarket Center serving Naperville, and People’s Resource Center of Elmhurst, Nami DuPage, Wheaton, Shelter Inc. of Palatine; Tri-Town YMCA serving Oakbrook Terrace, Villa Park, and Lombard, West Suburban Community Pantry in Downers Grove;
The 19 new recipients, along with seven other institutions based in Chicago, Romeoville or along the North Shore, will receive a total of $8.3 million in grants, according to Endeavor’s Community Investment Fund website endeavorhealth.org/cif. received.
