his art installation The event, called Four Directions, showcases important aspects of Native American culture.
“How does the number 4 and the four directions, and the four directions north, south, east, and west, relate to the seasonal cycles of spring, summer, fall, and winter? And how does that relate to the life cycle of birth and adulthood? ” Marcus explained.

Four Directions was formed by Marcus and a team of 5-6 people.
“I think it’s really exciting to be able to use light and sound to convey teachings in a fun way that’s a little bit dramatic and sounds like a heartbeat. So it’s like the heartbeat of a life cycle. ,” Marcus said.
“I think it’s important to show that we’re still here and that we’re still creating art in order to be seen by Native Americans,” he added. “It’s not necessarily the typical art that you think is associated with Native American culture, like these necklaces and things like that.”
Marcus’ second installation is illuminated by lots of LED lights.
“Calopilone, I describe it as a human-sized LED kaleidoscope experience,” Marcus said.
This immersive art installation has sound and light and allows people to step inside.
