Breaking Defense is pleased to announce that Jerry Foley has joined the company as Senior Director of International Sales and Business Development. In this key role, Foley will provide media marketing solutions and account representation for Breaking Defense’s major U.S. clients, as well as spearhead business development for growth markets in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and South America. He will begin his duties on January 22nd.
Jerry Foley has 20 years of experience in business-to-government media with a focus on Defense and Federal Government IT business development, marketing, sales and communications strategy. Mr. Foley joins Breaking Defense from Foreign Policy magazine, where he served as director of strategic partnerships and was responsible for building the defense and national security business portfolio. Previously, Foley served as Managing Director, Government Affairs, where he led content and client strategy for the Defense and Federal Broadcasting Corporations. Previously, Foley worked for Defense News and C4ISRNET, where he worked for nearly 12 years and was eventually promoted to Vice President of Global Sales and Strategy. Foley began her career at Government Executive Media Group, where she helped manage digital operations. He holds a master’s degree in business administration, strategy, and leadership from Michigan State University and a bachelor’s degree in government from Georgetown University.
