OrtecZoetermeer, a Netherlands-based provider of decision support software and data science capabilities, has received investment from Battery Ventures.
The transaction amount was not disclosed. London-based battery partner Zach Ewen has joined Alltec’s board of directors.
The company will use the funding to further strengthen its leadership position in the US and Europe in supply chain, workforce management, data science and consulting.
Co-founded by Aart van Beuzekom and Gerrit Timmer and led by CEO Michael van Duijn, Ortec provides software platforms and data science capabilities that enable customers to improve business performance. The company has 1,000 employees in 13 countries and serves more than 1,200 customers including ASML, Heineken, Coca-Cola Enterprises, Procter & Gamble, Shell, Waitrose, Albert Heijn, G4S, Sodexo and Tesco. We provide services.
Going forward, Ortec will partner with Battery to offer products and services through three new divisions focused on logistics and routing solutions, workforce management solutions, and data science and consulting.
The founders, Aart van Beuzekom and Gerrit Timmer, will remain on the Board of Directors and continue to be responsible for Ortec and its future.
