Recruitment of candidates has started for 2024 EY Entrepreneur of the Year This is the 27th time this contest has been held and will be held on an island-wide basis.
Twenty-four finalists will be shortlisted to participate in a week-long CEO retreat to South Africa ahead of the awards ceremony in November 2024.
The awards have three categories: start-ups, established companies and international companies operating in all industry sectors in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.
Deadline for entries is February 29, 2024. Individuals can enter on their own, but if they wish to nominate others they must obtain the consent of the entrepreneur.
Candidates must be Irish or run a company based on the island of Ireland. To be eligible, a candidate must own at least 5% of the company and be primarily responsible for the company’s recent performance.

The Entrepreneur of the Year alumni community includes more than 600 finalist entrepreneurs over the years.
Mr Wallace said that together these companies employ around 250,000 people and generate revenues of more than €23 billion.
In recognition of the significant contribution of business to achieving and ensuring environmental sustainability, one of the finalists will be awarded the Sustainability Award.
The 24 finalists were selected by a judging committee made up of past award winners, and the chairperson of the judging committee is: harry hughesCEO of Portwest, who takes over the role from. Anne Heraghty.
