Dynatrace names Laura Heisman as chief marketing officer

Former VMware CMO will play a key role in creating, optimizing and personalizing the company’s end-to-end customer experience

Dynatrace (NYSE: DT), a leader in integrated observability and security, announced the appointment of Laura Heisman as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Laura will replace Mike Maciag as her CMO of Dynatrace, where she served for five years. Mr. Maciag will remain with Dynatrace in an advisory capacity until April 2024.

Heisman brings 30 years of experience reaching enterprise, developer, consumer, and business audiences. Most recently, she served as her CMO at VMware and led a worldwide marketing organization. Prior to joining VMware, she was a member of GitHub’s executive team and served as Vice President of Communications and Corporate Marketing. Ms. Heisman also spent more than 10 years at Citrix, where she served as vice president of communications and led the company’s global communications and brand awareness programs. She holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from San Diego State University. As an advocate for women working in the technology industry, she has sponsored her group Executives for Women Employee Resources at VMware, GitHub, and Citrix.
