The Minnesota native, who is competing on this season’s “The Bachelor,” got into a red truck with a spruce tree in the back. This is her homage to the Christmas tree farm where she grew up.
Daisy Kent, from Baxter, Minn., introduced herself to tennis pro Joey Graziadei on Monday night’s premiere. The 25-year-old, who now lives in San Diego, also told viewers of the ABC television reality show about her severe hearing loss.
Kent talked about losing his hearing on TikTok and then regaining it with a cochlear implant, and had over 44,000 followers at the time of the show’s start.
During the premiere, Kent told the San Diego CBS station last year that she started losing her hearing when she was 17 years old and that the experience was isolating, “and it started to get pretty bad over the last few years…” “When you’re going through something like that, you feel lonely in a way because that’s how you communicate with people and express yourself.”
Obtaining a cochlear implant, an electronic device used by people with severe hearing loss, “quite honestly changed my life completely,” Kent said on “The Bachelor,” adding that he lost It helped me rediscover everyday sounds.
Kent told the cameras that she hadn’t been on a date since her surgery and was nervous. Her nervousness was further amplified when she stepped into the “Bachelor” mansion and saw 31 other women. “Someone should have said ‘America’s Next Top Model,'” she joked.
But then Kent spends some time alone with Grazia Dei next to the Christmas tree. “When you’re feeling confused, remember to be kind to yourself,” she told him. The two kissed. The tennis pro then presented her with a rose.
“Daisy is gorgeous…” Graziadei said. “She has a soft, inviting way of speaking that is very attractive. And I’m drawn to her.”
