Institut pour la photography launches its first Youth Photo Book Support Fund Grant.
In line with its mission to support research and creation, promote photographic publishing, and provide training in the critical reading of images, the Institute of Photography, with the generous sponsorship of publisher Frédéric d’Estriba, has created its first youth We have launched a photobook support fund.
The purpose of the bi-annual Youth Photo Book Support Fund (Fonds de soutien au livre photo jeunesse in French) is to promote the creation of photo books for young people, and supports the design and production of original French photo books. 10,000 euros will be donated to help. Language books aimed at children and/or adolescents (6-18 years).
With this in mind, the Institut pour la photography invites applications from writers, artists, photographers and graphic designers of all nationalities and of all ages.
The winner will receive support and guidance from the Institut pour la photography team and receive €10,000 at the end of the two-year support period to help realize their publishing project.
The deadline for submissions for the first edition is January 31, 2024, and winners will be selected in April 2024, with the aim of publication by the end of October 2025 at the latest.
