This week I had a great conversation with Bobby Bitton. how success happens. He is the co-founder and CEO of O Positiv, a game-changing women’s health company for issues like vaginal health and menopause. The company launched his FLO PMS vitamins in 2018 and has released more than a dozen new products since then. I wanted to hear how the company took a niche issue like PMS and turned it into a brand that can support women throughout their health journey.
You can listen to the entire conversation with Bitton above, and we’ve excerpted three key takeaways.
Take seriously what others don’t do
O Positiv was able to expand because large parts of women’s health, such as PMS and menopause, were not being discussed. Bitton and his sister and co-founder Briana listened to end customer concerns and took his 30-40 year span before issues like PMS were called normal. These concerns became the starting point for the business.

Leverage your brand to meet your customers where they are
O Positiv’s brand messaging has grown in the first two months because it combines provocative language about previously taboo topics such as PMS with the scientific education people need to hear in order to trust the product. This contributed to the sale. A great product won’t attract customers’ attention, and a business won’t succeed even if it attracts attention without a great product.

learn from customers
The ultimate test of success is not whether something makes sense, but whether it works for customers in the real world. O Positiv had many great ideas, but only a few were successful. From this came the operational principle of getting real-world data as quickly as possible with minimal investment before implementing a “good on paper” idea.
