Investment Officer / Senior Investment Officer – Banking (based in Beijing)

AIIB’s investment operations are comprised of two regional teams: 1st and 2nd. Each regional team is led by a Vice President (VP) and reporting staff includes customer-facing experts, technology experts, and bankers. Region 1 covers Southeast Asia, Pacific Islands, and South Asia (excluding Pakistan and Afghanistan), and Region 2 covers Pakistan, Afghanistan, Central Asia, East Asia, West Asia, Europe, Africa, and Latin America.
Each team’s banking division includes the following business areas: (i) Capital Markets and Structured Products, (ii) Digital Infrastructure and Other Production Sectors, (iii) Financial Institutions and Syndicates, and (iv) Private Equity.
The Senior Investment Officer/Head of Investments works with other team members to structure and execute debt market investments (such as loans and guarantees) and equity market investments (such as private equity funds and indirect equity investments through direct equity). are expected to do so. investments in both corporate platforms and specific projects) and/or capital market investments (such as corporate bonds, green bonds, project bonds, and other asset-backed securities). The Senior Investment Officer/Investment Officer is expected to work closely with other relevant departments of the AIIB.

responsibility:

• Creation and implementation of investment projects in the relevant mandated areas.
• Conduct research on projects and clients.
• Represent the banking department in internal meetings and assist with coordination and reporting.
• As a project leader, you will focus on ensuring that key economic, financial, technical and legal issues are considered and that mitigation measures are built into the funding structure and legal documentation, including due diligence and Implement the approval process.
• Analyze financial statements and assist project team leaders in structuring deals. Prepare financial models for projects and companies.
• Support the bank’s internal coordination through information exchange and teamwork with relevant departments of the bank, and support the bank department in achieving its goals and objectives.and
• Performs ad hoc tasks as assigned by senior department management.

Requirements:

• At least 5-10 years of relevant work experience in the field of corporate/project finance from previous positions in commercial/investment banks and/or international financial institutions.
• Experience building comprehensive solutions across financial products using fixed income, private equity and funds, and capital market instruments.
• Experience working on investment projects
• Demonstrates project leadership and management skills and proven ability to identify, engage and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders across the private and public sectors, including issuers, institutional investors, regulators, banks and other intermediaries. Equipped with:
• Effective financial, analytical, modeling and credit skills are an advantage.
• Effective interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Oral and written communication skills in English and knowledge of the languages ​​of the countries in which AIIB invests are an advantage.
• Master’s degree or equivalent degree with specialization in business administration, finance, or a related field.
