Florida International University welcomed Bad Bunny to campus after entrepreneur David Grutman invited the Puerto Rican pop star to attend a hospitality seminar.
Bad Bunny entered an FIU classroom on Thursday and was greeted with excitement as students cheered on the Grammy Award-winning artist.
When Bad Bunny took the stage, he had a message for young people thinking about the future of hospitality.
“Everything I do, I’ve said many times, I do it with my heart,” he said in Spanish. “This is how I make music, which led me to generate other types of income and launch my business. You can’t do anything without passion.”
In August 2022, Bad Bunny teamed up with Glutman to launch Gekko, a Japanese-style steakhouse in Miami.
Glutman, a professor in FIU’s Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management, will be hosting “The David Glutman Experience: The Class,” which will allow students to get advice and inspiration from a well-known star to launch their own hospitality platform. It was started.
Since the first class opened for enrollment, Grutman has had stars like Drake, Jason Mamoa, and Rick Ross join the class and give inspirational talks with FIU students.
