Cuban advice: One of the questions posed to Cuban was if he was given the chance to start his life over at the age of 14, retaining everything he knows now, whether he would do it.
Cuban hinted that was true, saying, “I’m going to try really hard not to mess up.”
The entrepreneur told another user that the biggest loss he has ever faced, emotionally or financially, was losing his mother and father.
“It wasn’t easy,” Cuban said.
Another user asked Cuban about the most important action you can take to improve your daily life.
“Be curious and learn. And when you find something that really interests you, learn as much as you can.”
Cuban was also asked about the biggest piece of advice he would give someone starting a business for the first time, or what he wishes he had learned when he first started his business.
“Sales solve everything.”
Cuban was also asked what advice he would give the 27-year-old about life in general or financial matters.
“There are times when you feel like there’s no chance of ever figuring it out, and that’s when you have to remind yourself to keep learning and keep honing.”
Cuban also warned people turning 30 not to assume they’re getting older, adding that it’s a common mistake to feel older every decade because of a milestone birthday.
The entrepreneur said that sometimes the best deals are “the ones you don’t make.”
Cuban also asked about his own leadership failures and how they made him better. “At my first company, I wasn’t very nice to people. People want to do business with people they like.”
