In a world where social media is a priority for teenagers around the world, a 16-year-old girl is taking on Silicon Valley with an AI startup. Pranjali Awasthi may have come into the limelight recently, but she has been making a difference since January 2022, when she founded Delv.AI. With science in her genes, Awasthi has been into competitive math and programming since she was seven years old. This trend translated into real-world projects when she immigrated to America.
“I used to attend a lot of hackathons, and one of them (Miami Hack Week) introduced me to the startup/VC ecosystem in Miami. I joined the startup accelerator Hacker Fellowship (HF0), founded in Miami and launched Delv AI,” said Pranjali Awasthi, founder of Delv.AI.
Her AI startup is designed to simplify data extraction and “eliminate data silos, allowing researchers to efficiently access specific information from diverse online content.” Research and text analysis for enterprise purposes, offering summary, and extracting insights into text data sources such as local or cloud databases. Delve. The AI also generated her AI-driven graphical representations such as pie charts, treemaps, and heatmaps.
So, what kind of impact has Delv.AI made so far? “Delv 2.0 has reached over 10,000 users in just over a month since its release, and is now being used by R&D companies in Asia, North America, and Europe. and conducted more than 10 pilots.”
Awasthi came into the spotlight after revealing at a Miami Tech Week event that the startup had secured around $450,000 in funding from On Deck, Village Global, AngelList Quant Fund, and others. What is her biggest challenge? “Managing her team and maintaining her morale as a solo founder while dealing with a hyper-growth market,” Awasthi added. Do you have one piece of advice for her? “A focus on mastering the AI infrastructure, recognizing that it is integrated among a few key players, and understanding the role of building complementary tools around models.” Guess what,” she concludes.
