The priorities and evaluation criteria for federally funded Historic Preservation Fund (HPF) grant applications administered by the Indiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Division of Historic Preservation and Archeology (DHPA) are available for public review and are subject to comments. The deadline is April 8th.
These priorities are reviewed annually and established within the National Park Service’s Historic Preservation Fund Grants Manual. These represent the types of projects that he sees as important to DHPA’s mission to identify, document, research, preserve and interpret Indiana’s cultural resources.

All public comments must be received in writing and should be emailed to Steve Kennedy at skennedy@dnr.IN.gov, faxed to 317-232-0693, or sent to DHPA Grants Staff, 402 W. You can mail it to Washington St., Room W274, Indianapolis. , IN 46204. All public comments received will be presented at the April 17 meeting of the State Historic Preservation Review Board.
It is important to note that priorities are only part of the HPF grant application and DHPA is not accepting proposals at this time. A complete package with application instructions will be available on DHPA’s website (on.IN.gov/dhpa) on or about August 1st.
