Starbucks, the world’s largest coffeehouse chain, is known for some creative product launches, including last year’s line with olive oil.
And now one of its latest innovations has arrived in China, the chain’s biggest overseas market, in time for the Lunar New Year. The Abundant Year Savory Latte combines the flavors of pork and espresso, CNN Business reported.

The drink costs 68 yuan ($9.45) and features Dongpo pork flavored sauce with espresso and steamed milk, and is served with additional pork sauce and pork breast, according to the Starbucks delivery app. .
Starbucks operates more than 6,500 stores in 250 cities in mainland China and employs more than 60,000 people, according to the company’s website.
Starbucks’ pork latte is becoming a hot topic on Chinese social media. At the time of publication, the topic had been viewed more than 476,000 times on Weibo and attracted a variety of reactions. According to CNN, some users lamented the cost, while others said they didn’t want to have pork and coffee “in their mouths at the same time.”
