The SD Biosensor World Wheelchair Curling Championship 2024 will be held at the Gangneung Curling Center in South Korea from March 2nd to 9th, followed by the mixed doubles tournament from March 10th to 16th.
This will be 17th Third team competition and third mixed doubles event.

The 12 participating teams are from the host country South Korea, Canada, China, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Italy, Latvia, Norway, Scotland, Slovakia, Sweden, and the United States.
China is the reigning champion, winning last year in Richmond, Canada, and on home ice in Beijing in 2021.
All members of the Chinese team are world champions, with the exception of substitute Peng Bing, who will be making his debut on world curling ice at this tournament.
Skip Wang Haitao is the most decorated of them all, winning two Paralympic gold medals and three world titles. Lead Yan Zhuo is a Paralympic champion and two-time world champion.
Canada won the silver medal at last year’s Richmond Games. With one line-up change and Chrissy Molnar taking part as a substitute, Link will be aiming for a podium finish at Gangneung as well. After the round robin, the top 6 teams will advance to the playoff stage.
The 1st and 2nd place teams will be given byes to the semi-finals. The third-place team will play the sixth-place team in one qualifying game, and the fourth-place team will play the fifth-place team in another qualifying game. Both qualifying games will be held on Friday 8th March at 14:00.
The winners of these games advance to the semifinal field. The semi-finals will take place on Friday 8th March at 19:00.
The winners of the semi-finals will compete for the gold medal and world title, while the losers will compete for the bronze medal. Both medal games will be held on Saturday, March 9th at 11:00.

mixed doubles match

A total of 21 teams representing national member associations will compete in the event. The team is divided into his three round robin groups of seven players each.
Group A: Estonia, Latvia, Norway, Poland, Scotland, Slovakia, Turkije
Group B: Canada, England, Finland, Italy, Slovenia, Switzerland, USA
Group C: China, Denmark, Spain, Hungary, Japan, South Korea, Sweden.
Latvia are the current champions. Last year, Polina Rozkova and Agris Lassmans won gold despite having the worst start to the competition. Aleksandr Dymbovskis was originally scheduled to play alongside Rozková, but was injured in the final minutes of the match. America will have a new team this year. Oyuna Uranchimeg and Matt Sams are experienced team players, but this will be their mixed doubles debut on World Curling Ice.
