Mr. Weil represented Luxor Capital Group in its strategic investment in Montage International, a premier hospitality management company founded by Alan J. Firstman. In addition to investments by Luxor’s affiliated funds, this investment group consists of significant commitments from funds managed by Goldman Sachs Asset Management and funds and accounts managed by BlackRock.
Montage International features ultra-luxury brand Montage Hotels & Resorts, contemporary luxury brand Pendry Hotels & Resorts, and a range of luxury residential properties under each brand. This transaction allows Montage to accelerate its next phase of growth while providing a significant exit from ownership for long-term minority shareholder Ohana Real Estate Investors.
