Local entrepreneurs are being recruited for the third class of Launch Temple, a program developed to provide small business training, mentorship, networking and funding to current and aspiring small business owners .
Launch Temple is sponsored by the South Temple Rotary Club, Temple Rotary Club, Temple Chamber of Commerce, and Temple College.
At the end of the 10-week program, graduates will be ready to create a complete business plan and launch their own small business.
Karen Hawley, Community Services Chair for the Rotary Club of Temple South, said: “This is his third year presenting the Launch Temple program, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the results.”
“This program provides a great foundation of knowledge to help these entrepreneurs get on the right track,” she said. “We are really looking forward to seeing many more successful graduates from this program.”
Temple Chamber of Commerce President Whitney Theriot called Launch Temple “a great opportunity for local entrepreneurs.”
“This empowers entrepreneurs and gives them the tools they need to turn their business ideas and dreams into reality,” says Theriot. “Small businesses are the backbone of America, and as a chamber, we are excited to once again contribute to this innovative program.”
Thomas Shinkey of the Temple Rotary Club said: “Rotary International has always prioritized economic development, and this program supports exactly that goal and will have a positive impact on the local economy.”
Launch Temple is free to participants. Online applications will be accepted until April 6th. Classes will be held on the TC campus on Tuesday nights at 6pm starting May 14th.
