Yehuda Jisapel, one of the founders of Israel’s technology industry and co-founder of RAD Group, has died at the age of 82.
Yehuda Jisapel founded RAD Group in 1982 with his brother, the late Zohar Jisapel. The group owned his 28 companies that developed, manufactured and marketed networking and telecommunications solutions. These include his RAD, a data communications and communications access solutions company, Radware, a communications security solutions company, and Binat, a communications and security solutions company.

Yehuda Jisapel and his younger brother Zohar grew up in a relatively poor family south of Tel Aviv, where their parents owned a shoe store and their children helped out. Mr. Yehuda, who is seven years older than Zohar, started a technology business, and Mr. Zohar joined him after completing his military service as an officer in the IDF 8200 intelligence unit.
Yehuda Jisapel received a B.S. He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the Technion, and before founding RAD Group he worked as a manager in the engineering department of Motorola Israel.
