The four-day World Sustainable Energy Days 2024 (WSED) conference focused on retrofitting, energy communities, renewable energy and energy efficiency. LIFE DEESME 2050 focuses on improving energy efficiency in the global furniture industry. Europe is home to the world’s second largest furniture market, with 130,000 companies and more than 1 million employees. LIFE DEESME 2050 is supporting numerous companies in introducing energy efficient measures, training employees in sustainable behavior, preparing for financing, standardizing and replicating behavior throughout the furniture supply chain .
With a similar concept, LIFE EENOVA guides food processing companies towards customized energy-related improvements to increase energy efficiency, promote energy-smart solutions and increase the use of renewable energy. By training partners in the food sector and creating regional hubs, the project will bring together companies operating within the same value chain to raise awareness, foster collaboration and improve energy efficiency practices. Identify common steps. By project completion in 2025, it is expected to save approximately 1.1 GWh of primary energy per year and generate 1.1 GWh of renewable energy per year.
