The generosity of the community helped Warren County reach its goal.
Earlier this month, United Fund officials announced some good news. “We are excited to announce the winning success of Torchlight Campaign 2023. Our amazing community came together to surpass our goal of $710,000.” Executive Director Lacey Hanson made the announcement on her Facebook page.
Foundations honored for their collaboration with this campaign include United Refining Co, Betts Foundation, Superior, Northwest, PGE, Highmark, Cummins, Whirley Industries, and more.
The annual Torchlight Campaign provides funding to various community organizations throughout the county. Funds raised will be donated to 20 local non-profit organizations, and his 100% of donations will be donated to local organizations.
According to information from warrengives.org: “About 50 percent of the funds raised support children through Scouts, child care, 4-H, and the YMCA. Another 20 percent benefits seniors through programs at Warren and Sheffield senior centers. 10 percent of the funds raised will go to counseling through hospice and family services, and 15 percent will go to emergency services through the Red Cross and Salvation Army.Finally, 5 percent will go to New Hope Dogs, BEI, We support disability services through the Don Mills Center.”
