The Northern Illinois Food Bank recently received a $10,000 grant from Compia Financial’s Rural America Fund. The awarded funds will be used to support improvements to the organization’s food distribution center.
Collen Besic and Jodi D’Amico of Compeer’s Naperville office presented the funds at a check presentation event.
Compeer Financial’s Fund for Rural America, the Farm Credit Cooperative’s giving program, awarded 34 general use grants totaling $190,975. In line with Compeer Financial’s mission, these grants fund initiatives and organizations that enrich agriculture and rural America.
The Compeer Financial Fund for Rural America is a corporate giving program of Compeer Financial designed to support Compeer Financial’s mission to enrich agriculture and rural America. Compeer Financial’s Board of Directors dedicates 1% of annual adjusted net income to support the foundation’s focus areas of agricultural advocacy and development, agricultural education, cooperative initiatives, rural development and community enrichment, and youth engagement.
