Your role:
of TEPMETKO Marketing Director, US Brand Lead plays a key role within the commercial team and is responsible for leading brand strategy, execution and measurement to support TEPMETKO’s commercial success. This individual will be responsible for developing comprehensive healthcare professional and consumer marketing strategies and tactics, monitoring and diagnosing brand performance, and preparing business updates for senior leadership. They work closely with sales and strategic engagement teams to ensure strategy execution and a performance-driven culture.
The TEPMETKO Marketing Director and U.S. Brand Lead needs to quickly develop an understanding of the NSCLC market and TEPMETKO’s key characteristics in order to properly position the product. This role will involve cross-functional collaboration, project management skills, and require the selected individual to be an advocate for the brand both internally and externally. This position reports to the Vice President of US Oncology Marketing and will work closely with the broader US Oncology Marketing team. This role is critical in shaping EMD Serono’s footprint in oncology.
position: Onsite requires three days in the office. The office is currently located in Rockland, Massachusetts, but plans to relocate to the Seaport in Boston, Massachusetts in mid-2024.

- Lead cross-functional teams to successfully develop and execute annual integrated product plans, including budgets, appropriate tactical prioritization, and strong KPI measurement plans for ROBU.ST.
- Develop healthcare professional and patient marketing tactical plans for key market shaping and branding activities based on a deep understanding of market dynamics to achieve key business objectives.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to define success metrics, continually analyze marketing program performance, optimize plans to increase effectiveness as needed, and make recommendations for future plans.
- Provide thought leadership to understand markets and therapeutic areas across all levels of the organization
- Align strategic engagement with peer-to-peer education strategies.Ensure the right channel mix and content strategy
- Partner with digital record houses to develop strategy, execution, and measurement for all digital promotions and media, including omnichannel engagement.Lead the creation/updates and delivery of core media assets and the TEPMETKO.com website using a data/insight-driven approach
- Collaborate with market research teams to develop actionable insights for healthcare professionals and patients.Ensure awareness and education of key insiders
- Oversee the planning and execution of TEPMETKO commercial tactics in all councils and ensure alignment with the overarching strategy
- Develop and manage advisory board strategy, planning, and execution, integrating insights to optimize marketing plans and related execution
- TEPMETKO Effectively manage marketing budgets and collaborate with cross-functional partners to optimize spend and maximize the value of your investments.
- Effectively contribute to short-term and long-term brand forecasting
- Work with Portfolio Marketing to manage TEPMETKO resources in your fulfillment portal
- Partner with training and sales leaders to optimize development and utilization of personal resources and ensure appropriate deployment to field teams.Provide field force training and communications as needed
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams including Global Strategic Insights, Sales Operations, Sales, Strategic Engagement, Finance, Medical Affairs, and Market Access to drive TEPMETKO forward.
- Collaborates with the broader Oncology Marketing team to ensure strategic alignment and execution across the EMD Serono Oncology portfolio.
- Guide promotional materials through legal, medical, and regulatory review processes and interpret scientific data to create compelling promotional messages.
- Manage relationships with agency partners and focus on marketing excellence and flawless execution of key tactics and deliverables
- Collaborate with thought leaders to gather input on commercial strategy and execution, and market trends.

Who are you
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree 8+ years of experience, or Master’s degree and 6-8 years of experience, or 5+ years of Ph.D.experience
- 8+ years of proven experience in the pharmaceutical and/or healthcare industry.
- 6+ years of strong marketing experience in the US pharmaceutical market, including in-line brand marketing experience
- U.S. oncology experience (including understanding the landscape, community and academic oncology dynamics, GPOs, payer landscape, and specialty pharmacy stakeholders)
- Experience managing external agencies (creative and media), design firms, and internal teams to execute brand and strategic marketing direction.
- Skilled in digital marketing and media tactics for healthcare professionals and patients.
- Proven track record of success in understanding the U.S. regulatory environment and navigating medical, regulatory, and legal review processes.
- Proven project and vendor management skills including budgeting, planning, prioritizing, goal setting, and executing logistics.
- Experience leading, managing, developing, and retaining employees.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively and productively both orally and in writing.A proven track record of effective and influential presentations to external and internal stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Results-oriented, demonstrating leadership skills and the ability to influence without authority.
- Demonstrates the ability and enthusiasm to work in a fast-paced environment with a team driven by improving patient lives, striving for excellence in all that you do.
- Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel skills
- Travel up to 30%
Preferred qualifications:
- MBA or Advanced Degree Highly Preferred
- Ability to lead, manage, inspire, and develop direct reports.
- US launch experience (pre-launch and post-launch)
- Track record of leadership success in matrix organizations
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills
- Experience with Veeva Vault and Promo Mat preferred.
- Experience presenting to all levels of organizations, individuals, and groups, and can respond concisely and clearly to questions and challenges during presentations.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and effectively influence, collaborate, and communicate with internal and external partners.
- High ethical standards and personal integrity
