A presentation of the new season of Phantom Women Accelerator “Vidvazhna 2. Scaling and Digitalization” was held. Its goal is to help Ukrainian women start businesses or develop existing ones. The new season of the “Vidvazhna” accelerator is a logical continuation of the first iteration of the project, aimed at the digitalization and expansion of enterprises.
“The development of entrepreneurship in Ukraine is one of the main priorities of the Ministry of Digital Transformation. That is why we launched the Diia.Business project to speed up and simplify the launch and expansion of a business in Diia. We also continue to implement programs and initiatives to help entrepreneurs grow their businesses, including one in which we have created a community of 5,000 women entrepreneurs. This is a bright accelerator “Vidvazhna”. In the first season, the winner of the project received 1.3 million hryvnia for business development. Small businesses are the foundation of our economy, so the new season will allow us to start and expand even more businesses. ” Mykhailo Fedorov, Deputy Prime Minister for Education, Science, Technology, Innovation and Development and Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, commented:
At Vidvazhna, future female entrepreneurs will spend four months learning about business planning and management, marketing and sales, business digitalization, taxation, accounting, and tools for expanding into overseas markets.
“Supporting Ukrainian women on their entrepreneurial journey has always been one of our priorities. Especially now, 60% of registered solopreneurs are women. Last year, I together with our partners launched the “Vidvazhna” accelerator. Connecting thousands of women entrepreneurs into a larger community. Each participant gained the knowledge and support they needed to build or expand their business. Their stories motivated us to continue the program. Today we are launching the second season of the accelerator, which will provide even more entrepreneurial opportunities for Ukrainian women. ” Valeria Ionan, Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation for European Integration of Ukraine, said.
Based on the results of the training, 40 participants will each receive 100,000 hryvnia for the realization of their business idea. At the final Grand Pitch Day event, 12 finalists will compete for the main project prize in the Debutante, Visionary and Inclusive Business Project categories. His three business projects with the highest points of the jury will each receive an additional 400,000 hryvnia for business development.

Accelerators combine two forms of training.
During online training, participants receive a hands-on, interactive, general education program based on best practices in business education, delivered by top speakers. Online training modules are conducted by representatives of Visa, USAID, monobank, Checkbox, Shop-Express, Ukrposhta, etc.
Offline and virtual bootcamps hosted by 10 Diia.Business Entrepreneur Support Centers. Participants will receive in-depth business training, sessions with psychologists, and support from mentors. Preference for participation in the bootcamp will be given to those with inclusive business projects and who are ready to implement the principles of inclusivity in their company’s activities.
Accelerator participants will also receive additional offers to accelerate the digitalization of their business from monobank, Ukrposhta, Checkbox and Shop-Express.
“A survey on the needs and issues of women entrepreneurs in Ukraine found that more than a third of interviewees pointed to lack of access to free training programs as one of the most common obstacles they face. pointed out that financial literacy is one of the most impediments and required competencies.Other important growth points for women entrepreneurs are the digitalization of business and the systemization of information.All these Data proves that future female entrepreneurs are striving to improve their skills, develop their businesses, scale and innovate. So far, in the 2023 edition of “Vidvazna” more than 5,000 Ukrainian women have participated in online and offline training organized by 10 Diia.Business Entrepreneurial Support Centers for entrepreneurs. Based on the results of the program, 6 Ukrainian women collected their 1.3 million hryvnia to start or develop their own businesses.
