The City of Santa Maria would like to hear from the public on the proposed 2024-25 Community Development Block Grant allocation and reserve funds.
A public hearing will be held during the City Council meeting on Tuesday, April 2 at 5:30 p.m. During the meeting, the City Council will also allocate an additional $37,500 to public services that have applied for funding for the 2024-25 fiscal year.
Access to the hearing will be in-person and virtually. Information on how to participate will be posted on the agenda published at www.cityofsantamaria.org/meetings at least 72 hours before the meeting.
The proposed allocation is part of the city’s annual action plan.
The public input initiative is part of the city’s adopted “Citizen Engagement Plan,” which includes a 30-day public review comment period from March 29 to May 1. Comments on the report are due during the April 2 City Council meeting. at a City Council meeting or at communityprograms@cityofsantamaria.org.
Following a public hearing and 30 days of public review, the 2024-25 CDBG Action Plan will be formally adopted by the City Council on May 7th, and a report will be submitted to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). is. ) for final approval.
