In a statement, the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) confirmed media reports this month that it had seized Ilham Tower, a 60-story building in Malaysia’s capital Kuala Lumpur, as part of its investigation into Daim Zainuddin. .
Mr Dime, 85, on Thursday denied all wrongdoing and said despite repeated inquiries to MACC he had not been told what crimes he had allegedly committed.

Mr. Anwar, who came to power last year, has vowed to root out high-level corruption but faces accusations from some critics that he is targeting political opponents.
Among them, Mr. Daim, his colleagues and family are reported to hold assets worth at least ₤25 million (US$31.82 million).
MACC said it had asked Mr Dime to declare his assets in June and had granted the former minister five extensions, the most recent on November 14.
It added: “He has every opportunity to clear his name if the case goes to court.”
Mr. Dime held the financial portfolio twice. Between 1984 and 1991 he was succeeded by Anwar. From 1999 to 2001, after Anwar was sacked by then Prime Minister Mahathir Mahathir on suspicion of corruption and sodomy.
Although retired from active politics, Mr. Dime remains an influential figure.
When Mahathir came out of retirement to become prime minister in 2018, he appointed Daim to head a government advisory committee tasked with scrutinizing everything from government policy to the management of state-owned enterprises.
