ALLEGHENY COUNTY, Pa. — Police say business associates of a Westmoreland County man were involved in his disappearance and death.
On Saturday, the Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office charged William Fortuna, 58, of Conway, Braden Elliott, 20, of Chicora, and Jeremy Fisher of Coraopolis with the murder of George Dayeb, 57, of Murrysville. (41 years old) announced the indictment. Fortuna and Elliott were arrested Saturday and Fisher was taken into custody Sunday morning. They all face multiple charges including murder, conspiracy and abuse of a corpse.

According to the criminal complaint, Fisher and Dayeb are partners in an excavation company.
At a press conference Sunday, police revealed that Fisher and Dayeb were “business associates.” It also said that Mr. Fortuna was Mr. Fisher’s employee and that Mr. Elliott was Mr. Fisher’s nephew and also Mr. Fisher’s employee.
The search for Dayeb began on Dec. 27 after he was reported missing and in danger by his girlfriend to Murrysville police, and his truck was found abandoned later that day.
That day, Dayeb met with Fisher to collect a $439,432 loan for the purchase of the equipment, which was supposed to be sent by Fisher’s family on Dec. 22, according to the complaint. However, the money was not actually transferred. Police allege that Fisher conspired with Elliott and Fortuna to kill Dayeb. In the complaint, Elliott allegedly told police that Fisher offered to buy him a diesel truck if he cooperated with the murder.
Police previously said Dayeb got into Fisher’s car at a gas station on Broadhead Road in Coraopolis. Elliott was also a passenger in the car, and Fortuna followed them in her car without Dayeb’s knowledge, according to the complaint.
Police said Fisher took the revolver from Fortuna before everyone got into the car and gave it to Elliott, who then killed Dayeb. The suit says Elliott did not fire when he first tried to fire while driving on Interstate 376. But after they stopped the car on Glenwood Way in Butler County to repair the gun, the gun went off when he tried again while driving under the Mercer Bridge.
At that point, the complaint states, Fortuna and Fisher got into Fortuna’s car, and Elliott transported Dayeb’s body to a “camp” in Licking Township, Clarion County, where it was eventually hidden in a trailer and “covered with cushions and pillows.” It is stated that it was covered with Police found Dayeb’s body in a trailer with a gunshot wound to the head after executing a search warrant on the property on Friday.
Police say they were able to create a timeline of events using text messages, cell phone data, license plate readers and surveillance video.
