All over the world, people are coming together to say goodbye to 2023. welcome 2024 .
Sydney and Auckland are among the first major cities to celebrate the New Year with large-scale fireworks displays.
In New York City, the New York City Police Department increased security at the famous Times Square Ball Drop in response to Hamas’ attack on Israel. CBS New York report. Despite the additional security measures, the FBI said there is no credible threat to New York City, according to CBS New York.
