BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) — Bend-based Square Baby™ bills itself as “the most innovative disruptor in premium baby food” and recently introduced its latest creation, Fancy Pants Wagyu Truffles.
When Katie Thomson became a parent 15 years ago, she started researching baby food. In 2018, she opened Square Baby, but it is not a national brand. This food is intended to provide your baby with several servings of the recommended vegetables, fruits, grains, and protein each day.
The company’s latest announcement states, “Meticulously crafted with attention to detail, Fancy Pants Wagyu Truffles embody Square Baby’s commitment to providing the best taste and science-based nutrition for kids. ,” the company said.
“This latest menu features a luxurious blend of the finest iron-rich A5 Wagyu beef, known for its rich marbling and tender texture, and the exquisite aroma of truffles, purple carrots, grass-fed butter, parsnips, and Yukon gold potatoes. ” Square Baby elaborated.
The company says, “This extremely limited edition release is available exclusively at SquareBaby.com.” It will go on sale Dec. 27 for $50 per 4-ounce bottle and will be “shipped to your door in a cooler with dry ice.”

Square Baby offers customized meal plans for each stage of development that provide 100% of your baby’s recommended daily intake of vegetables, fruits, whole grains, and protein. The company’s Square Meal System™ was developed to meet dietary needs, promote taste development, and introduce allergens early and often for food allergy prevention.
Square Baby says its organic meals contain less than half the sugar and twice the protein and healthy fats than most pouches. No added sugar, preservatives or additives.
“We found that many of the pouches had more sugar per ounce than a can of Coca-Cola,” Thomson said. We solved this problem by ingesting a third of the sugar in that pouch.”
