According to locals, Venkateshwarlu is one of only three foreigners from India to have been selected for this coveted award in the last 52 years.
Kanday Venkateswarlu graduated from the Government Institute of Printing Technology in Secunderabad in 2004 and headed to Dubai with diploma in hand. There he worked for two years, after which he secured his job at the Reserve Bank of India’s banknote printing press, so he returned to India.
Although it was a stable and permanent job, he showed no enthusiasm and a few years later, in 2008, he was selected as the manager of a reputed printing shop in Nigeria. During his tenure here, he found opportunities aplenty for his career growth. At the same time, he was not satisfied with the inability to meet the requirements of the domestic packaging industry.

From there, he began supplying and meeting the huge demand for packaging products that African countries desperately needed. In a short period of time, he has become the most reliable supplier of printed packaging products not only to Nigeria but to the rest of his 25 countries across the African region. He left his signature to meet the ever-increasing demand for printing and packaging that these countries had been waiting for.
In 2021, he established his own company Fortune Pack in Dubai, specializing in label manufacturing and exporting billions of labels to all these countries.
In recognition of his yeoman service over the past 13 years, the Anambra State government conferred the award on December 16, 2023 in Omoru.
