Those who haven’t defined their relationship yet can celebrate Valentine’s Day without the pressure this year thanks to the latest sweetheart candy.
A classic treat is a special limited edition Situationship box makeover.
The candies feature blurred and misprinted messages, perfecting the undefined romantic entanglements that many people seem to find themselves in.
These “confused singles” will be able to purchase boxes of candy on the Sweethearts website starting January 8th at 9am.
“Singles are taking their ‘status’ to the next level this year, and Sweethearts is here for them,” said Evan Block, vice president of marketing at Spangler.
“Sweethearts prints aren’t always perfect, and this is our way of embracing those imperfections in a way that taps into pop culture.”
On X, formerly known as Twitter, one person called the move “barbaric marketing.”
“I think there may have been a manufacturing defect, but they decided to make the most of it,” said another source.
More Valentine discoveries
Shoppers are already finding Valentine’s Day decorations on the shelves at Dollar Tree.
Sarah (@sensationalfinds) posted a TikTok showcasing some of the fun products she found, but said her employees still have more to put out.
There were also red and pink heart-shaped measuring cups and heart-shaped silicone molds for baking snacks.
There were similar molds with smaller hearts that could be used to make candies.
She also found a cookie cutter that spelled out “I love you.”
The store had several types of dish towels and potholders to complete the themed kitchen.
Target recently went “sane” and stood in line outside for limited edition Valentine’s Day mugs.
