Sumit Ramchandani, head of omnichannel marketing group at life insurance company AIA, has resigned from his position, as Ramchandani confirmed when contacted by MARKETING-INTERACTIVE.
In this role, which Ramchandani held for about a year and a half, he was responsible for improving and automating lead management processes. He also said that the company has worked with markets to build capabilities around end-to-end management of leads from qualification to conversion.

His previous experience in the region includes launching and leading numerous martech platforms and digital agencies. Prior to working at AIA, Mr. Ramchandani worked as a senior marketing advisor at fintech company BondEvalue. In his role, Mr. Ramchandani worked on product marketing and digital marketing to drive B2C business growth. He held the role for just under five years.
Prior to that, he spent one year as the APAC Managing Director at Blueshift, an AI-powered marketing platform.
Most notably, Mr. Ramchandani served as CEO of AirAsia Media Group from 2019 to 2021, where he launched the adtech and media business and managed a team of creative, partner sales and media executives. . He also managed direct sales and channel partnerships, data solutions and programmatic purchasing. Prior to that, Ram Chandani spent just over four years at Lion & Lion, where he held various leadership positions including Managing Director, Chief Customer Officer and Market Head.
