The Purchase Line School Board approved funding for the city reserve fund at Monday night’s meeting.
This fund will be used for capital and non-recurring expenditures of $1,118,051.
A number of policy updates were also approved. Twenty policies were submitted to the board and approved for amendment or deletion. A further 19 were approved for initial consideration.
The board also approved middle school and high school curriculum guides for the 2024-25 school year.
Added to the agenda was a request for approval to go to bid for bleachers and rails for the gymnasium. An item is approved when it is added to the agenda.
Personnel matters approved by the board included hiring Richard Fridley to act as custodian at a rate of $10 an hour, pending receipt of proper documentation.
Retroactive FMLA requests for employee (ID 415) were approved for up to eight weeks starting December 26, 2023. Director of Curriculum and Innovation Jessica Lindsay’s request to attend her PETE&C in Hershey from February 4th to February 7th was also approved. The request included $987.13 from district funds.
Other items approved included adding Terry Banks, Lakin Bellinger, Gary Chaplin, Matthew Eisenberg, Jonathan Phillips, Brandon Weber and Joshua Young as tri-county drivers. . A new bus stop has opened on National Highway 286 in Commodore.
Superintendent Patricia Berezinski thanked school board members for their service as part of School Board Appreciation Month.
The next district vote will be held on Monday, February 5th at 7:00 p.m.
