British producers Evan Leighton-Davies and Ben Bond have launched a new loan fund, Heatseeker Media, a rolling finance facility to fund independent film and TV producers.
Unusual for an independent financial institution of its kind, the London-based fund will initially provide development funding to producers ranging from $100,000 to $1 million for individual projects. Backing for the fund will come from a range of private investors, mainly wealthy individuals from the UK, Europe and the US.
