Brunson’s marketing efforts with the Kansas City Chiefs will move forward with that success.
Ashley Bede, interim CMO and marketing director for the Chamber/CVB, gave a presentation explaining the details at Tuesday night’s Branson City Council meeting. She said a new “digital media toolkit” was being built.
This gives people involved in marketing activities access to images, logos, text, and more. The Marketing Director highlighted the success of the 2023 tailgate and expressed excitement for next season’s tailgate.
Beede reviewed the 2023 marketing related to the football team. A screenshot of his three top-performing Kansas City Chiefs-related posts from the Explore Branson Facebook page shows he has over 500,000 “impressions” when the posts are combined. Facebook.com says, “An impression is the number of times your page or content about your page enters a user’s screen.”
She added that the best performing posts in terms of reactions and comments were the giveaway posts. This post received over 8,000 comments. The post is “organic” meaning it has not been promoted using Facebook’s paid options.
Bede also discussed “special edition” digital newsletters. This is his first marketing item to be emailed to his 96,000 subscribers at the organization.
50.12% of users opened it, generating over 2,340 pageviews. There were 1,239 sessions and the average session duration was 3 minutes and 10 seconds. Beede said this exceeded the amount of other traffic the website could get.
Previously, Branson Communications Director Lisa Lau commented on the Chamber’s excitement about the presentation. “We believe there is a lot of positive momentum happening,” she said. She added that councilors will believe their feedback will be heard.
Lau also highlighted “new leadership and new energy” and said Bede has a “big and bright future.” Much more was discussed during the presentation.
