MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) — Monday night’s Bucks game started with new hope for fans. The string of wins drew fans from all over the world to the games.
For some, the love for the Bucks began three years ago when Milwaukee brought home the NBA title.
“She turns 4 next Saturday, so this is her first Bucks game,” said Quentin Sullivan, a Bucks fan from Milwaukee.
Juan Manual Angulo was hooked after the big win in 2021, but until now he had only watched his favorite team on TV from his home in Colombia.
We asked, “Are you sure you came from Columbia just for the Bucks game?”
“Yes, that’s what I’m excited about, because I want to come here and actually see things. That’s my dream. That’s why we came here today.” Angulo said.
The Bucks, who are on a five-game winning streak, had fans naturally euphoric as they entered the stadium Monday night.
“One in 10, probably 1,000,” said Angelito Harris, a Bucks fan who lives in Cudahy.
This is Angelito Hari’s first Bucks game.
“What do you like about the Bucks?” we asked.
“Giannis, definitely Giannis,” Harris said.
And today is Monica Goodrum-Lawson’s birthday.
“We try to come to every game we can. So yeah, I love it and I hope they keep going,” said Goodrum-Lawson, a Bucks fan from Milwaukee.
The sisters’ love for each other and the Bucs brought these two season ticket holders back together.
“And I watch it all the time. When I’m not here, I watch it on TV, and so did she,” said Edith McKnight, a Bucks fan from Milwaukee.
But fans said no matter how the match ends, this one will be around for a long time.
Nicholas Angulo, a Bucks fan who lives in Toronto, said, “It’s a little early to celebrate a championship appearance, but winning seven in a row would be really great, so I’m looking forward to it.”
“They better win six more games, so I think this is a championship year. If not, next year. I’ll come back every year,” said Richard Ormes, a Bucs fan who lives in East Troy, Michigan. ” he said.
