BUFFALO, N.Y. — Fresh off a successful fundraiser for the Fashion Week organization, a group of Buffalo youth is on a mission.
“I am the Marketing and Community Manager for Buffalo Fashion Week, and I am so proud and happy to be a part of this journey,” said Entrepreneur and Buffalo State University freshman Jada Ivey. he said. “And I’m also the CEO of my clothing brand, Title 21.”
She is highly motivated and works tirelessly to create opportunities at such a young age.
“Being a Buffalo Fashion Week participant, a stylist, an entrepreneur, and a full-time college student, I can’t thank you enough for all the opportunities I have and have learned. ‘To be here,’ she said.
Ivey and those who want to shine an even bigger spotlight on the Fashion Week organization understand that what they’re doing is already a difficult journey, but one that’s worth every step of the way. .
“As an African American woman with a clothing brand, it’s really hard to find and find resources,” she said as she prepared for a major fundraising event the organization will hold in February. She said, “The donations and money raised at the gala will really help me and my brand, as well as many other Buffalo businesses, creatively with all the projects we have going on.”
They were also able to make the most of every opportunity while putting in all the effort necessary to network, market, and raise funds. Although we only have a handful of events scheduled and Spring Fashion Week coming up, our goal is to inspire and expand.
“Hopefully it’s the next Paris Fashion Week, the next New York Fashion Week,” Ivey said. “So there’s definitely a lot to look forward to and it’s all a matter of hard work and dedication.”
Let’s not forget Jada and all those involved in Fashion Week who are dedicated to elevating the voices, designs, and futures of Black and Brown people.
“The culture is rural. As you know, Buffalo is very diverse and we want all types of people to be involved as we continue to grow Buffalo Fashion Week,” she said. added. “thing [are] It really changes. And I’m personally excited. I’m sure you guys are excited too. ”
It’s just the beginning.
“It’s a lot of dedication and a lot of hard work and it’s only going to pay off in the end. I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for me,” she said.
