Fun Noodles will begin offering a menu of sushi, ramen and noodles this month at 1809 W. Loop 281, Suite 130 in the Pine Tree Center at Gilmer Road and Loop 281.
The restaurant’s soft opening is Tuesday. Business hours are Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sundays from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Owner Alex Zhao previously said there are other Fun Noodle locations, but they are not part of the restaurant chain. Sun (pronounced “soon”) Liang is the manager.
The menu is a mix of various Asian influences, including Japanese, Chinese, and Thai.

Mike Stinson and Matt McKinney opened Longview’s second Smoothie King at 2002 Toller Road.
Business hours are Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sundays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
“We’re happy that we’re being welcomed into the community,” Stinson said. The store opened in November. “A lot of people don’t know our doors are still open.”
McKinney opened Longview’s first Smoothie King at Loop 281.
Change budget blinds
The former Budget Blinds in Longview has new owners, a new name, a new location and expanded territory.
Budget Blinds started in 2017 and offers custom window treatments including blinds, shutters, shades, curtains, bedding, and more. Former owner Paul Guidros sold the business to Sam and Melinda Dunn in 2022.
The franchise’s original territory consisted of Longview, Kilgore, Hallsville, White Oak and surrounding areas. The Dunns founded Budget Blinds of Central East Texas in October and added more areas, including Pittsburgh, Marshall and surrounding areas. White then moved his office and warehouse to the Lake Harris Business Park in Oak.
“Our brick-and-mortar location allows us to better serve our clients and provide more space for design, collaboration and organization,” Melinda Dunn said in a statement. Clients and builder/designer partners who need to meet away from their premises. ”

Relocation to Burlington
Burlington, a national off-price retailer, is moving to a new space in Longview.
The store, currently located at 103 W. Loop 281, will move into the space previously occupied by Bed, Bath & Beyond at 422 W. Loop 281, Suite 200 in the Longview Shopping Center.
Bed Bath and Beyond in Longview closed as part of a 2023 bankruptcy.
The new Burlington store will open this spring and offer women’s clothing and accessories, men’s clothing, children’s clothing, shoes, baby products, home decor, pet care supplies and toys, the company reports.
7 Kilgore Beer
For the first time, 7 Brew Coffee is coming to the City of Kilgore.
The Kilgore News-Herald reported that site development and building permits have been issued for 914 N. Kilgore St.
7 Brew is a drive-thru only coffee chain that already has locations in Longview and Tyler.
The company will open 140 coffee shops in 26 states in 2023. It started in Rogers, Arkansas in 2017.
7 Brew ETX Group was one of the first 7 Brew franchisees to open non-corporately owned locations, according to the company’s website.
The Longview store is one of the company’s largest mass-market stores, the Kilgore News-Herald reported.
