The Good Farm Fund is currently accepting grant applications for this year’s agriculture grant cycle from farms in Mendocino and Lake counties. The farm grant is made possible by individual donors, small business sponsors, last year’s Farm to Table Dinner fundraising series at Mendocino Grove, and a grant from Redwood Credit Union.
These micro-subsidies can be used for any number of farm projects and have low barriers to entry. Applying is easy and doesn’t require you to submit any complicated documents such as financial records. Grant recipients will also be asked to submit some simple documentation. Next year’s grant report. Past grant recipients have expanded irrigation systems, built refrigeration facilities, expanded chicken flocks, and purchased new tools and equipment. The list goes on.
