Elon Musk caused a stir when he told Rishi Sunak at the recent UK AI Summit that AI would make all jobs obsolete, saying: “There will come a point when jobs are no longer needed.”

I’m not sure if this is completely accurate, but it’s certainly a provocative comment and raises a series of questions. Considering the “entrepreneur”, teeth It’s my job, and I often actually create it. more Jobs for the Economy – How should entrepreneurs think about AI and their companies and the future of their companies? When one is expected to create jobs and the other destroy jobs? , can entrepreneurs and AI reconcile? What will the next few years look like for business given the expected disruption?

As technology companies iterate on powerful models faster than ever, and the rapid adoption and integration of AI, predictions of the near future in business and entrepreneurship can quickly become obsolete. That said, it doesn’t take a crystal ball to suggest that some behaviors will become more adaptive as we all learn to adapt to the landscape of technology, business, society, and constant disruption. there is no need. There are three here.

  • Be actively interested in everything

OK, let alone understand, no one can catch up. all What’s happening in technology, your field, and your competitors. That being said, all entrepreneurs and leaders need to get better. Good at research, understanding, and prediction. Even though Blockbuster has downplayed the streaming revolution, we don’t want that example of complacency to guide us. We want to be the Netflix of stories. We’re not afraid to try new models or change our delivery as customer expectations and the world around us change. Change can be an opportunity or a failure, depending on how you view it.

  • Encourage team leaders and practitioners to test and iterate

Some people like to try new and shiny things, while others keep their heads down and focus on the task at hand. It is now important to have a set of principles and guidelines to help everyone understand what technology can and cannot do, and to experiment with new ways of working to explore the pros and cons. Extremely important. Musk is saying what many other technologists and intellectuals have been warning about: that AI-driven disruption could lead to dramatic, traumatic changes.

It’s not just CEOs and CTOs who need to understand this. Every role uses technology, including knowledge workers, salespeople, customer service representatives, and accountants. Every role allows you to look back at how most roles have changed from year to year over his 50 years. If everyone feels a responsibility to stay up-to-date with the latest tools and techniques in their field, it will be harder to be blind and it will be easier to spot opportunities.

  • Don’t be a T-800 – people still matter

In these movies, even the Terminator eventually turned to helping humanity. But that’s the point of them. Technology has its own logic, and people have their own logic. There’s something about humans and our creativity, empathy, and innate sense of self-worth. Our teams and customers want to feel like they matter, and it’s imperative that businesses never lose sight of that.

There’s a reason why people call Innocent Smoothie’s Banana Phone, email, visit Fruit Towers and love the brand. There are real people on the other side. Innocent are the pioneers of ‘wackage’ and have always found great ways to creatively express silliness. Even if you don’t want to do anything “stupid,” being human and showing that humans matter can be a huge business advantage.

  • Keep the customer at the center of your plans

I don’t feel valued as I plod through the phone network’s automated system’s array of options. When you try to find a contact form on a company’s site, only to find a FAQ that doesn’t apply to your problem, you feel ununderstood. People want to feel valued and accepted for who they are. The same applies to co-workers. I am convinced that failing to do this with employees is a major cause of customer and staff turnover. That’s a sad thought. Many negative emotions are avoidable. Never lose the humanity, empathy, and compassion that people need to thrive – the things that are most “cost-effective” and “scalable” for business.

Plan a hybrid human-AI organization

It is clear that AI has a strong future in business. In fact, if implemented correctly, it can help people do more business with people. Autocomplete, transcription, and faster scheduling – No one will ever run out of tasks that every employee wants AI to perform, allowing them to perform more interesting and rewarding activities faster.

There are already many use cases where AI can enhance colleagues. Some of this may mean learning how to use new tools or even new ways of thinking (understanding mental models and critical thinking should be part of the school curriculum). As long as you can spend more time with people and provide them with creative and social abilities, your business will be on the best path.

No one can predict the future with certainty, but to win your business in the long run, you need to embrace AI. and Make your colleagues understand that you can only win by learning to use it and adapt to changing circumstances. Entrepreneurship is an adaptive mindset, and one we all must maintain as AI has the potential to profoundly change the way we do business.
