At Chapman University’s Parent Spring Summit on February 9, President Daniele C. Struppa inducted members of the Chapman Foundation’s Presidents Circle into the annual Presidents Circle, which celebrates the generosity and impact of donors. – Welcomed to breakfast.
Members of the President’s Circle are an influential group of donors who contribute $1,000 or more to the Chapman Foundation each year, helping to advance Chapman’s mission. The Chapman Endowment is the university’s unrestricted endowment that supports student scholarships, outstanding faculty, program enhancement, and new opportunities.
“I would like to thank the members of the President’s Circle for their generous support of the Chapman Foundation,” President Struppa said during the breakfast. “We are here to celebrate the meaningful impact you make each year.”
While enjoying breakfast, members of the President’s Circle connected with President Struppa and university leaders and met with current scholarship recipients.
Dr. Gabe Cagwin, vice president for development, welcomed the guests and introduced Angelica ’25, a Chapman student, business administration major and scholarship recipient. Angelica thanked the guests for making the Chapman experience possible for so many students.
“When I discovered Chapman and all the opportunities, I knew there was no other place that would give me what I truly value,” Angelica said. “Once I received my acceptance letter and scholarship, it all clicked. Chapman is so much more than academics. It has become a second home for me to pursue my dreams.”

Following her talk, Angelica welcomed President Struppa to the stage to talk about how members of the President’s Circle impact campus by supporting scholarships and great experiences.
“More than 86 percent of our students receive some form of financial aid, and we are extremely grateful that students of all backgrounds can participate in the Chapman Experience,” Struppa said. “Most importantly, your gift to the Chapman Endowment will give us the resources to quickly respond to the University’s greatest needs and allow us to be agile when opportunities arise.”
After the event, members of the President’s Circle were escorted to the Musco Arts Center where they took their reserved seats and enjoyed the University’s Annual Address.
