Some dinosaurs went extinct, but 65 million years ago, you can find some near Tampa.. Dinosaur World in Plant City, Florida features approximately 200 life-sized prehistoric giants set in a lush park. Stroll along the boardwalk, admiring Spanish moss hanging from centuries-old oak trees overhead, and admire prehistoric giants such as brontosaurus, tyrannosaurus, and lesser-known dinosaurs like tintaosaurus and pachycephalosaurus. Inside the museum, you can see depictions of raptor claws, dinosaur eggs, a giant jawbone, and other artifacts, along with animatronics and several interactive exhibits. Children can literally delve into the world of paleontology and make their own discoveries as they sift through the sand in fossil caves and boneyards.
Exploration Cave has replicas of Tyrannosaurus claws and teeth on display, and there are guides on hand to teach children about fossils and satisfy their curiosity. Mammoths and other Ice Age essentials are some of the new exhibits inside the cave. Unearth arrowheads and rough stones in the Dinosaur Gem Mine, and climb among artificial bones in the dinosaur-themed play area.

Dinosaur World is located just off Exit 17 of Interstate 4 in Plant City, Florida, approximately 20 minutes from downtown Tampa. The theme park is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., except Christmas and Thanksgiving.
Children under 2 years old are free. Ticket prices range from $19.95 to $24.95. Jurassic Mini Golf is included with every ticket. Certain experiences, such as fossil digs and dinosaur gem digs, come at an additional cost. Parking is free. No reservation required.
Food and beverage services are not available within the park. A picnic lunch is recommended. Pizza delivery is also available as an option. The park is wheelchair accessible.
