Financing to address the challenges of industrial decarbonization.
The Department of Energy recently invested $254 million in projects dedicated to decarbonizing the industrial sector. Approximately 30% of America’s total carbon emissions come from domestic manufacturing plants, which have difficulty reducing the energy they require to function. These funds will be distributed among 49 research projects working to create technological solutions to manufacturers’ energy needs.
“Today’s announcement will help advance the innovative technologies needed to reduce costs and improve energy efficiency in America’s factories and industrial centers,” said Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm. “Ensuring America’s industrial sector and its strong workforce remains strong and competitive will maintain our nation’s advantage as a global economic power and ensure a strong American-made clean energy future,” President Biden said. This is the key to accelerating our vision.”
Follow the Lord’s guidance and pray with us…
- That Secretary Granholm is wise in his pursuit of reducing carbon emissions.
- For Department of Energy employees who support the development of programs and technologies that reduce industrial carbon emissions.
