Dan Mejeritzky started his organic tea business, Sacral Chai, with a focus on heart health, not just cardiovascular.
“It’s heart health, both physically and mentally,” says Medieritsky, a Canadian-born former junior decathlete turned entrepreneur.
Sacral Chai sells chai with supplements targeted at couples who want to get to know each other better through the daily ritual of drinking tea. When you order tea for a monthly fee, you’ll receive a text message with a question designed to encourage conversation between couples: “What do you think I’m better at than others?” It arrives every day. and “What do you like most about yourself?”

According to Allied Market Research, the tea industry is thriving, with the global tea market valued at $49 billion in 2021 and reaching $93.2 billion by 2031, with a compound annual growth rate of 6.7%. It is predicted that this will happen.
Meanwhile, conversation-starting card decks and games are a hot category, with the global market for card games expected to grow from $2.1 billion in 2018 to $3.27 billion by 2027, according to market research firm Statista. ing.
Helena Escalante, author The Fastest Guide to Content Creation: How to consistently create content that is unique, engages your audience, and aligns with your goals.finds the combination of tea and conversation-starting cards very appealing.
“My husband and I don’t drink coffee, so we love tea, especially chai,” she says. “One of the most fun activities we always do on a date night is ask each other questions that go beyond the everyday. No matter how well we know each other, we discover and learn new things from each other. There is always something to cherish.”
Mezelitsky, 40, became obsessed with chai during a recent relationship. “She didn’t drink coffee, I don’t drink coffee, and we both loved chai,” he says. “We just added our little bits to it and made the concoction.”
Eventually, Medieritsky realized that he really enjoyed the morning ritual of drinking chai, and wanted to build a business where he could share that passion with his customers. He found the source of the tea through field research, met with biochemists to create a unique formulation to stand out in the competitive tea category, and launched the product on December 5, 2023.
Mejeritzky differentiated his chai by including six herbal supplements in it: Clavo Huasca, Chuchuwasi, Muira Puama, Catuaba, Damiana, and Blue Lotus. The combination offers benefits such as improved blood circulation and is designed to have an aphrodisiac effect, Medieritsky said. This premium He Tea sells for $149.00 with a 1 month subscription of 30 He Tea. Gift set is $239.00.
Medjeritsky says he believes the simple ritual of talking over tea – practiced in many forms around the world – can help build stronger relationships. “Relationships are the most important thing in our lives,” he says. “I’ve seen how unstable relationships can ruin your day, your month, and your whole year. I want your relationship to be as strong as possible. Check it out, because it will make you feel so much better.”
Mr. Mejeritsky previously founded Fitness-on-the-Go, a network of home-based personal trainers in Canada and the United States, which grew to over $1 million in revenue. He started the business after tearing his hamstring during the Olympic trials. He started his Fitness-on-the-Go in Vancouver in 2005 using a franchise and licensing model. He currently has nearly 200 personal trainers in his network.
In 2017, Medieritsky began living as a digital nomad, in part to pursue his interests in cooking and healthy food. Maintaining an interest in on-the-go fitness, the company relies on its trusted master franchisees for day-to-day operations. During his travels, he worked in Michelin-starred restaurants and traveled to India with top chefs, documenting his travels on Instagram. “For me, the beauty of cooking is being able to give someone a great experience,” he says.
His goal with Sacral Chai is to build a new strong and sustainable business, but he says that’s only part of the story. “Fundamental to survival is promoting healthier relationships,” says Medieritsky.
